Thud. I can't believe it. No one's mentioned Black Christmas? Okay, what were we THINKING?!
This goes especially for me; I saw it earlier this month. I was impressed by how well it holds up, and by how creepy it is, even when I know what's gonna happen at the end.
One of our specialty channels here in Canada ScreamTV.ca is actually showing it Xmas Eve. |

Sylvester Stallone's Cobra.
By the way, wouldn't A Christmas Story itself kind of qualify? |

| All those movies about a fallen or new angel helping a disfunctional family find the true meaning of Christmas give me heartburn. "Its A Wonderful Life they are not. |

What about On Her Majesty's Secret Service?
Takes place at Christmas, but so unchristmassy, it's probably the one Bond film I've never seen over Christmas.

Another Sylvester Stallone movie, the Get Carter remake. You wouldn't know its Xmas if it wasn't for the high speed car chase that careens through a Christmas tree lot. Also, there are a couple of quick shots of Xmas lights on houses. Those are the only indications that its Xmas that I saw; no Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays etc.. Note: I missed the first 30 minutes so there might have been something there.

| There's also a fight in an elevator that features a christmas carol as background music. |

Here's an Oldie/Goodie for you geezers out there:
Auntie Mame - Mame is broke after the stock market crash and must get a job at Macy's during the Christmas season. It is there she meets Beauregard Jackson Pickett Burnside, her future hubby.
Oh...I am talking about the Roz Russell version. The Lucille Ball remake of the musical of the film of the play of the book was so blurry, it's hard to tell if it is Christmas or Halloween.
She was bred in old Kentucky, but she's just a crumb up here. |

Hogfather kinda counts. Hogswatch isn't Christmas, but it's close enough.
For those of you who don't know, it's about Santa getting whacked. The BBC movie weighs in at 3 hours, as they covered most of the book. |

| Of Auntie Mame you left one out. The The Lucille Ball remake is a remake of the stage musical, which came from the Roz Russell movie, which came from from a stage play, which came from a novel. It is one of the most derivative movies ever made and as you said so accurately so blurry that you don't know where or when you are. |

I really hated Ron Howard's "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" Seriously, a "key party" while a baby is alone in the cold. Yikes!

Another year, another bump.
Adding to the list: how about Hellboy 2: The Golden Army? |

Saw Santa's Slay a few months ago with wrestling champion Bill Goldberg as the evil Santa who comes to town to spread some "cheer." Good thing his suit is red because its easier to hide all the blood! A nice little parody down on the cheap, which makes you wonder how the got some great help such as Robert Culp, Dave Thomas, Saul Rubinek, Rebecca Gayheart, Fran Drescher and James Caan! to star in the movie.
