Did anybody subject themselves to this endurance test?
Being a fan of the TV series, I gave it a whirl when it premiered on Sci-Fi this weekend.
I lasted ten minutes. That's all I could take.
Not that the TV series was a masterpiece of science fiction and fantasy, mind you, but at least it was a watchable show that occasionally coughed up a good episode here and there. Even on those terms, Highlander: The Source is a desecration. In fact, it's an awful movie by any yardstick, whether you're a MacLeod fanboy or not.
It was good to see Adrian Paul back on the job again. It's been ten years since his show went off the year, and Paul, now in his late 40s, isn't getting any younger... that being said, I thought he looked pretty good, albeit in a wax figure kind of way. And although it's always pleasure to see the sadly underutilized Peter Wingfield being put through his paces, neither he nor Paul was well-served by this monstrosity, other than the quick paycheck of course.

This series is going the Hellraiser way...
I hated all movies made after The Quickening (I am proud to say I liked that one), and only the series gave me the impression the saga had still some hope. |

The one before this Endgame was sleep inducing. How did anyone think this was a good idea? Oh wait, I forgot. This is the SciFi channel. Other than the first movie and the TV series, the franchise has been dead since then. The series was nice for a diversion now and then.

I reviewed the Russian DVD pre-release of HIGHLANDER: THE SOURCE back in June. Anyone who watched the Sci-Fi Channel cut care to tell me if it sounds any different from what I described in my write-up? The producers swore they were going to massively re-edit the film and improve it but I highly doubted they would or even if they could salvage this fiasco.

Nice job, Foy, you really earned your... oh, wait you don't get paid to... um... (awkward moment).
Oddly, you lost interest after the second season. The third season is what made me a fan.
