Shout! Factory has acquired the rights to MST3K. No more Rhino releases.
The 10.2 re-release with Giant Gila Monster will be the final Rhino set. (Word on the CT boards is that GGM will be available as a single movie purchase from Rhino's site as of 2-5-08.)
Meanwhile, on the CT boards a poster claiming to be Jim Mallon has left a message dissing his former colleagues. He offers that the reason why he and Joel parted ways was because Joel wanted to bring back MST3K but he wanted to do it without the 'bots.
(The "Mallon" thread has been closed by the CT mods until the identity of the poster can be verified.)

OT: The main protagonist in The Phantom from 10,000 Leagues was named Ted Baxter. When I first saw it I wondered if it was the same character and, if so, why he had quit the nuclear science racket to become a TV anchor.
