With independant video stores in my area, folding like mortgage lenders I find myself despirate to find films that I have put off and now want to see with renewed vigor.
Has anyone seen this and is it worth it:

Anyone else pass by a VHS box and ALMOST get the urge but didn't because you figured you had time?

I got a copy, of all places, from my local library. It was one of those barebones editions that sometimes come with magazines. I've certainly seen worse, but apart from Klaus Kinski's appearence I found it quite forgetable.
Galaxy of terror is much better. |

I agree - "Galaxy of Terror" is far superior. If you're looking for a good, well-paced space creature classic - try "It! The Terror from Beyond Space"

It's odd how this movie sticks with me after all these years. I remember as a youngster reading about this movie in Fangoria, or one of it's ilk, to the point that I am fairly certain I remember it's WORKING title, which I think was "Titan Find". I haven't seen it since the '80s, but as I remember it, it had gore and boobs, and that was pretty much all I was looking for back in the day.
As far as the film goes, I think it was fairly derivative of most early 80's horror, but if I found it airing on cable today, I'd probably watch it again. |

| Honestly, It copied from enough different genres to remain interesting, how many other movies copy Alien and still have Quasi Zombies? Worth a netflix rental. |

I saw it once on TV years ago. (This was back in a glorious time when a movie like this would actually get TV play, before infomercials for hair plugs and home gyms took over the airwaves.)
Overall, Creature isn't good enough to be a good movie but not bad enough to be a good bad movie. (Yeah, it's one of those.) Klaus Kinski is definitely the best thing about the whole movie, but he's barely in it. |

Might I reccomend the version with Horror Host Mr. Lobo? He makes this flick a lot more fun then even "Klaus kinky'can.
