I'm about 500 miles south of where the reindeer live... but that's okay.
Shouldn't Sabu's companion be an elephant?

Wow, 500 miles? That's over halfway across Texas. I guess I should know more about Sweden as apparently that's where Pippi Longstocking is from. (Or was that Norway or Finland? Maybe Minnesota?)
A grand old Elephant would be particular appropriate for this site.

Sweden is a very long, rather narrow strip of land. It's built a bit the same as Florida, but about twice as long - the area is (according to almighty Wikipedia) a bit larger than California and has about a quarter of that state's population.
We are indeed home to Pippi Longstocking, Emil i Lönneberga, and Karlsson-on-the-roof - all creations of Astrid Lindgren. Astrid Lindgren also wrote "The Brothers Lionheart", a kid story which was later translated to film. A film where the two main characters die rather horrible deaths in the first ten minutes of the movie. Imagine that in a U.S. kids' movie...
Other notable exports include Volvo, ABBA, Roxette and reality tv (although I'd rather you didn't hold the last thing against us.)
And for your special interests - Sweden has two horse breeds: North Swedish Horse (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_Swedish_Horse) and the Gotlandsruss or Gotland Pony (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gotland_Pony).

Don't forget Ingmar Bergman! And Max von Sydow... I was going to blame you guys for King Diamond- good thing I Googled first. Sweden also exports the Flower Kings, a pretty awesome prog rock band (who I've had the pleasure to gig with...)
