Leslie Nielsen dead at 84 from complications from pneumonia. Apparently he was hospitalized about 12 days ago and his condition deteriorated two days ago and he passed away with his family at his side.

It sounds like the same cause as Jim Henson, don't it? Pneumonia is a bad, bad thing.

Damn. Read an interview just months ago, he seemed perfectly happy with his semi-retirement and occasional special appearences as guest funnyman.
And today I also read Irvin Kershner has passed away. He's best known for directing The Empire Strikes Back, but I believe he also acted as a teacher for both George Lucas and Steven Spielberg in their college days. |
