Spanish press just announced the death of this Spanish genere film director. You may remember his films "Slugs", "The Rift" or "Cthulhu Mansion", he was 74 and has kept a low profile since de 1990s, directing only a few films that got extremely limited releases.

Causes of death haven't been mentioned, but the article uses the expression "after a long ilness", which is the euphemism often used for cancer.

He also was responsible for Pieces and MST3K favorite Pod People.

I've only seen PP and Slugs, but I imagine I'll see Pieces at some point.
