He had clunkers like A Stranger Among Us, but he also gave us Prince of the City, Dog Day Afternoon, 12 Angry Men, Network, Serpico, The Verdict, The Pawnbroker.... His last movie was Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, and he still had it at 83.
