Man, is that ever bad. Worst. Effects. Evah. I mean, ever. On the one hand, I'm torn as ASOT is a classic Bradbury tale, yet this movie has a goofy awfulness we don't see much these days. Usually we see awful movies that are just plain awful. Boring, mean, worthless movies. But this, this is like an old 50's movie. Well, moreso than most modern movies. This movie has a logic that defies the very idea of having a concept of logic. And did I mention the effects? They must have gotten a guy with a Commodore Vic 20 to do that, I swear. But it's nice to see a bad movie that is sincerely trying to please the audience. It just had no hope of doing so, that's all.
In other words, this one is a winner. Anyone who frequents this sight who has not seen this thing already must see it. |
