Here we begin with the crowning achievement of the Scanranger juggernaut, its "feature length movie" alongside Choujin Sentai Jetman. Again, character guide is included in the first section.

Scanranger vs. Jetman
Summary: A cosmic crisis brings together Scanranger, Jetman, and their enemies.
Monster: KuroJaguar, Dozer Jigen
URL: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/5514/jmvssr.html
-This seems to happen in the middle teens of the Scanranger timeline, and although the evidence is kind of all over the place for the other team, probably happens sometime before they fight Semimaru.
-Since the story does little to introduce the characters or plot of Chojin Sentai Jetman, those not intimately familiar with it may wish to peruse the following links.
http://www.rovang.org/sentai/jetman.htm
http://www.fortunecity.com/tatooine/halojones/75/jetman/jetman.html
Mistakes, Mysteries, and Weird Stuff
-A copse of trees was called a “clove.”
-Blackorg described Scanranger as a “five-member team,” but Takeshi is in the base with Markby later and greets the main group and Alex as friends at the end, so there’s clearly six Soldiers of the Silver Screen by this point.
-When a casino manager got on Gai’s back about paying his debts, Gai gave him half of the Lighkari amulet instead of punching the guy out.
-10,000 yen (the sum of Gai’s debuts) is the equivalent of about $80, and probably didn’t have significantly more value in 1991.
-What compelled Alex to join the Scanrangers on the battlefield? It’s abnormal for her, and she does almost nothing of consequence for the rest of the “movie.”
-When asked who Viram was, B.C. said he’d explain, but then said they didn’t have time.
-Although the Scanrangers had found a Japanese newspaper and established that they were in Tokyo some time beforehand, Vin seemed almost surprised to realize that the locals spoke Japanese when they ran into Viram (even stranger since it’s later implied Vin has been a lover of Japanese culture since he was a child).
-Viram was “amazed” to witness Scanrangers’ transformation, but in the show they seemed mildly amused to learn about Jetman, and one would think the impact would be lessened since Scanranger was the second sentai they’d encountered, if not more.
-Radiege mistook Scanranger for another group of Dimensian refugees, but there wasn’t really anything to suggest the Scanrangers as Dimensians (whose “battle forms” were bird creatures, not special costumes like Scanranger and Jetman use. Besides, if Japan could produce a sentai, why couldn’t anyone else?).
-BlueScanner both said he read and had seen in an old episode that Tran “has the power to control metal objects at his whim..”
Personal Rants: The evil aliens’ attack ultimately seems a little pointless as they’re never seen again. I would’ve had them belong to MAYHEM and maybe introduce a new officer who comes along for the ride. Make it a little more personal for the Scanrangers that way. At the very least, making Aileen’s attackers MAYHEM members would’ve tied into the story as is and helped with the idea that MAYHEM is this giant evil army. It’s the little things.
-There was a bit in Alex’s lecture about how Vin was discomfited by Alex using ridding the world of drugs as an example of things one could do with time travel, and then something about using dictators as examples. I was frankly confused. It made no sense at all, although I think it was supposed to give us a glimpse into Vin’s troubled past.
-In his fight with Radiege, RedScanner says, “And do me a favor..SPEAK ENGLISH!” Even if it’s to someone like Radiege, that’s an awfully asinine, Ugly American kind of thing to say, and I don’t think we’re supposed to see Vin as a jerk.
-The idea of the Japanese Scanrangers being fans of Jetman’s show is a bit problematic, as one would think they’d start applying the “rules” of the shows to their own adventures or some such, but they never do, not even when they’ve been at it for a while and the similarities have had time to show up, (ironically, Power Rangers actually did something with an idea like this recently, where the teens are familiar with previous Power Rangers and upon becoming heroes themselves, wonder when they get all the “cool stuff” like laser blasters and huge robots). Also, if they know Jetman as just a TV show, how is it that Alex used to work for Skyforce? Is there another time travel/alternate dimension story behind that?

Part 2
URL: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/5514/jmvssr2.html
-Radiege claimed the bomb they had used on the ranger teams was his idea, but it had not only been Grey’s bomb but Grey’s idea to use it.
-Kunio was surprised to learn that Alex could speak Japanese, even though she had already done so when she fended off Gai. As well, he noticed after Aileen had cast her spell on the two teams to translate their speech, so how he even noticed is a mystery.
-B.C. said Irene Cara was a singer in America’s future, but they were in 1991, and Irene Cara’s career was well underway in the 70’s and 80’s.
-Nick said that all they needed to use to fix Aileen’s time machine was a calculator chip, but for some reason took hours to actually use one even though a calculator was sitting on a desk nearby the whole time.
Personal Rants: Kunio’s surprise to learn that Alex could speak Japanese was akin to the level of amazement someone would have if they learned a friend is a close personal friend of Superman or something. I think it’s to set up the revelation that Alex used to be a member of Skyforce in the “Revenge of Emperor Toranza” story, but if so, the tip-off is that she speaks Japanese. She has a military background, she’s an ex-professional dancer, she knows martial arts, she designs and pilots mecha, she’s the leader of an organization that fights of alien invasions, and teaches college film courses to boot. You see how speaking a second language doesn’t stand out among her credentials?
-B.C. and Kunio were both awestruck to learn that Chokan’s gruff exterior hides a heart of gold. Should that really be a surprise to two big Jetman/anime/tokusatsu fans like them? Gruff commanders nearly always have hearts of gold.
-My biggest problems with this entire story happen here. An alien comes to the amassed heroes and asks for their help finding a hunk of a magical amulet, which will cause all of creation to be destroyed if not reunited with its twin in a matter of hours. Do they spring into action to do their duty as protectors of humanity? No. They sit down and start reminiscing to each other about old adventures. I’m sorry, but they have to search TOKYO for a small bauble to keep the whole universe from ending. They have better things to do than warn Jetman about gangsta rap. This is compounded by B.C.’s dilemma at the end.
-Viram’s portrayal is questionable. They all work as a group, but what makes them unique is that they’re competing with each other to become supreme leader. Also, Tran calmly reminds the others that whoever kills Jetman becomes leader, who they think to be Grey. Tran’s an evil brat with super powers, and when pushed too far he grew himself into a villain powerful enough to seize leadership of Viram by force; I can’t see him accepting he’s been beaten like that.

Part 3
URL: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/5514/jmvssr3.html
-Each of the four Viram leaders used a parasite to turn a bulldozer into a monster, but only one is needed for that.
-The villains tried to use the mirage mist on Jetman a second time, but it was knocked back to effect them instead, and they then transported themselves and MAYHEM back to Birock to continue the fight there. Why would Viram take the people they believe to be their mortal enemies back to their headquarters to continue that fight? That episode where Ryu pretends to sell his team out to Viram and Grey apparently kills him anyway would have one think they know better.
-Takeshi and Markby were dumbfounded by the Hollywood Vehicles taking off, and didn’t seem to consider the possibility that wherever the Scanrangers were (apparently they’d been away for days), they had called the Vehicles (Personal Rant: What’s savagely ironic is that in Jetman of all sentai, more or less the same thing once happened: the team lost contact with Ryu, but when one of their robots went flying off the others realized he must’ve called it and followed it to find him).
-Both Jet Icarus and Thunder Dolby fired their fist weapons at once as if it had been some kind of plan, but Jetman wouldn’t have known what weapons Thunder Dolby had.
Personal Rants: Jetman and Scanranger had been fighting the villains for close to eleven hours before Nick got there and they resorted to their powers (there were sixteen hours left when they went out to fight, and five when Nick went to join them). They probably should’ve been dead from exhaustion, at the very least, by then.

Part 4
URL: http://www.geocities.com/Tokyo/Towers/5514/jmvssr4.html
-After a tomato eating contest, Raita asked Kunio how he could eat so much without gaining weight, but they had just finished eating.
-Takeshi treated the rangers’ and Alex’s absence for days (and the mysterious launching and return of the Hollywood Vehicles) surprisingly lightly, brushing the whole concern off as a joke after they told him they’d met Jetman.
-B.C. said to his friends, “I don't really know if the real Blue Swallow, Sayuri Uchida, ever really knows me..” He and the others had gone to another dimension and met the “real” version of a character Sayuri Uchida played on TV. How would that relate to the actress in his dimension knowing him?
Personal Rants: In the end, B.C. was considering staying in the past to be with Ako, even though he was warned that the universe would end if he did, and the other members of their teams seemed ready to let him do it. What kind of superheroes are they? Even if B.C. was blinded by love, the others should not be letting him obliterate the universe so he can spend another half hour with his new girlfriend. Love between two people is a beautiful thing, but not when you’re prepared to kill everyone in existence for it.

Episode 16-Oh, What a Tangled World-Wide Web We Weave
Summary: A computer virus is inconsistently spread throughout the CJU campus, turning students into rampaging zombies.
Monster: KuroSpider
URL: http://www.geocities.com/tetsuokurata/episode16.html
Mistakes, Mysteries, and Weird Stuff
-The story was inconsistent about how KuroSpider’s virus was spread; at times downloading any file from the internet while on campus caused it, other times downloading Key’s supposed anti-virus program caused it, and later it was implied that a television broadcast could carry it.
-Some students downloading Key’s supposed virus shield were doing so in a campus computer lab. Why would they do that?
-When the mind-controlled students attacked her office, Alex told the Scanrangers, “wherever you are,” to hurry, although she had been the one who sent them to the TV station stop Key’s broadcast.
-The students attacking Alex took a strangely long time to cross the room and get to her; they broke in just before Silver rescued the other rangers from Key’s force field trap, and were only brought back to normal after battles on normal and giant scales with MAYHEM.
Personal Rants: The ending of this episode makes the Scanrangers look dumb. During the battle with KuroSpider, four Scanrangers suddenly lost their powers. The thing is, Vin doesn’t think 2/3 of the team’s powers conking out for no apparent reason in the middle of a fight is even worth mentioning. He says it’s nothing when Alex asks. Vin’s the leader of the task force assembled to protect the world from MAYHEM and their superhuman warriors and monsters. He has every reason in the world to tell her and be worried about this, but he doesn’t. That’s just stupid.

Episode 17-There’s Something About Toni
Summary: Vixen creates a monster to make people hate each other just before the Valentine’s Day dance, but the Scanrangers figure out the cure quickly. Vixen tries again at the dance anyway, and with a little help from guest star Danger Woman they manage to win again.
Monster: KuroCupid
URL: http://www.geocities.com/tetsuokurata/episode17.html
Mistakes, Mysteries, and Weird Stuff
-Dean’s last name was spelled both “Rayborn” and “Rayburn.”
-Vixen gloated that her plan was far superior to Key’s from the previous episode, but both boiled down to inducing people to go on a destructive rampage, and the effects of Vixen’s monster were arguably more easily remedied; hugging the victims as opposed to slaying the monster twice.
-The Scanrangers waited until after classes to try to stop the rampaging students, which is strange enough that they’re shirking their duties, but it’s downright unbelievable that classes would even be held if students were rioting across campus.
-GreenScanner used his Holoclones to help the others with the afflicted students, hugging them to break the spell, but he supposedly could only make solid holograms after getting his powers upgraded in “Benedict Triumphant” (ep. 21). Also, the Brigade had stolen his Holoclone power (trying to use it was what made his film energy shut down in the previous episode), so he shouldn’t have been able to use it at all.
Part 2
URL: http://www.geocities.com/tetsuokurata/episode17b.html
-Vixen was surprised that another superhero was present at the dance, even though Danger Woman’s presence was advertised on the poster Dean saw at the beginning.
-PinkScanner attempted to shield Dean from KuroCupid’s arrow by blocking it with her body, but her special weapon is a shield, and moreover a shield she can supposedly throw with Captain America-like skill, so she could’ve deflected the arrow in mid-air.
-PinkScanner said that the other rangers had given her and Danger Woman permission to finish off KuroCupid. Why they’d need to get permission to kill the monster if they could is strange by itself, but KuroCupid was actually finished off by all of the Scanrangers using the Camzooka.
-Phantom Highlander used “mind control” to pick up his sword.
-It’s unclear why Dean would’ve decided to blast the Scanrangers with the “enhanced energy” which Vixen had given him, which seemed to be part of her plan.
-PinkScanner’s Titanic Attack (involving a tidal wave and iceberg that crash into her enemy) was said to be like Sailor Neptune’s Deep Submerge, which is an energy ball attack.
-The Scanrangers received valentines from Amy Jo Johnson and Catherine Sutherland, but the latter was only referred to by her character’s name on Power Rangers, Katherine (Personal Rant: What was up with valentines from them, anyway?).
Personal Rants: I was alarmed by one part of this story, where Alex is taking it upon herself to give the rangers dates to the dance, Toni in particular. What made that any of her business? It’s disturbing to see the head of the task force that’s Earth’s only hope against MAYHEM meddling in the love lives of her subordinates (and students!) like that and getting away with it. That kind of thing is harassment. It’s a despicable thing to do, and against the law besides.

Episode 18-Hit the Beach! The Super Sentai Spring Break!
Summary: MAYHEM is up to no good in Hawaii, but fortunately that’s exactly where Alex has sent the rangers for spring break.
Monster: KuroShark
URL: http://www.geocities.com/tetsuokurata/episode18.html
Mistakes, Mysteries, and Weird Stuff
-On the plane, Vin asked Toni how she had come up with her Titanic Attack, but it didn’t seem any different from how they had created movie attacks in the past, and it’s not clear why Vin would think it was.
-Kotaro Tanaka and Rika Kishida (Red Hawk and White Swan’s actors) thought they recognized B.C., but how would they?
-Key shouted, “You know what to do!” then told Ug what to do.
-Police didn’t suspect foul play but did suspect a shark attack when they found some of Key’s mummified victims.
-Although the MAYHEM warriors had already been fighting Yellow and Silver, Key only expressed surprise at running into Scanrangers in Hawaii when the rest of the team showed up.
-What movie did Ug’s “high-tech ‘Maser Cannon’” come from?
-Silver said there was no time to call WideScreener, a spaceship able to open warp gates, although the Hollywood Vehicles apparently arrived almost instantly.
-It was redundantly explained that the battle between the giant combatants was taking place on an “active Hawaiian volcano.”

Episode 19-Power Upgrade, part 1: One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall
Summary: Benedict’s Brigade returns with a vengeance. While KuroLectronn battles the others, KuroGrappler beats Nick into a coma.
Monster: None
URL: http://www.geocities.com/tetsuokurata/epi19.html
Mistakes, Mysteries, and Weird Stuff
-Sarita searched for the missing Nick with “satellites all over the world,” but only said they couldn’t find Nick within five hundred miles.
-Why didn’t Nick try to change again right away after arriving in the other dimension, instead of attacking in human form?
-Nick had supposedly been about to use his Holo-clone power, which, again, he supposedly couldn’t use at the time.
-Nick managed to “load the disc” and transform into GreenScanner, but they were still using cassettes at the time.
Personal Rants: I didn’t think Kunio was acting that weird when he talked to the other rangers mid-episode. He acted like someone who had a week to add seven pages to his term paper and just lost the last resource he needed. Yet from his behavior it’s implied the rangers can tell he’s in love with Carmen. It feels out of the blue.
-When KuroGrappler took Toni hostage, Nick said, “It's me you want!” as if there was a lasting grudge between them. If there was supposed to be, it could’ve been a little clearer to the reader.
-The “possibly dead” thing at the end seemed premature. Couldn’t they check to see if Nick was breathing or not?

Episode 20-Power Upgrade, part 2: Chaos Will Be! The Destruction of Thunder Dolby THX?!
Summary: Benedict issues an ultimatum--surrender to him by midnight or he’ll destroy New Jersey with his ChaosDemolisher! The Scanrangers meet the Brigade in battle, but their mecha is totally destroyed and Takeshi is lost in the aftermath.
Monster: ChaosDemolisher
URL: http://www.geocities.com/tetsuokurata/epi20.html
Mistakes, Mysteries, and Weird Stuff
-B.C. yelled at Vin in the hospital, “Besides, Vin, this is not the time!” What it wasn’t the time for was not clear.
-Why was Alex carrying the plans for a new mecha at the hospital?
-Benedict declared that they would avenge the fallen KuroBuzzer, but had no regrets at all about having sent KuroLectronn to his death, which seems somewhat strange.
-Some remark was made about Kunio forgetting how military time works, but it wasn’t clear that he ever knew.
-KuroGrappler told Benedict that Nick had been transported away before his eyes, but KuroGrappler had been teleported away by the alien first. (Personal Rant: To this Benedict said they “shouldn’t be concerned,” although a superhero you were trying to get out of the way being protected by some kind of energy being seems like a development that a would-be conqueror should be concerned about)
-When he finished off Thunder Dolby, Benedict was supposedly completing his last sentence, but “I would allow the opportunity for you to surrender..but in this case, surrender is not an option!” is a complete sentence in and of itself, and unconnected to anything he’d said before.
Personal Rants: I wonder why Scanranger waited until just before Benedict’s deadline to meet him in battle. Usually, the heroes spend the team right up until a villain’s deadline coming up with a surefire counter-strategy. Scanranger’s plan (attack in Thunder Dolby, have WideScreener launch a surprise attack if Dolby gets in trouble) couldn’t have taken that long to come up with, if that’s the idea.
Huh?
Alien giving comatose Nick an update on current events.
Alien: “Your body is still in serious condition now although to the human eye it may be critical, but in order to save your body and your mind, I insist you come with me..”

Episode 21-Power Upgrade, part 3: Benedict Triumphant!
Summary: B.C. loses his cool and quits the team. Nick gets enhanced movie powers from an alien whose race was wiped out by Benedict, then convinces B.C. to rejoin and gives Alex the key to victory.
Monster: None
URL: http://www.geocities.com/tetsuokurata/epi21.html
Mistakes, Mysteries, and Weird Stuff
-A triumphant Blackorg said there was no way for the Scanrangers to “call up even more reinforcements,” when they hadn’t called up any in the first place. (Personal Rant: Although by this point, Scanranger does in fact have several super-powered allies, all supposedly willing to help if the rangers get in pinch, that aren’t even mentioned. Not even, “I tried to call Danger Woman and Phantom Highlander but they’re busy overthrowing the Warlord of Neptune.”).
-Alex reprimanded B.C. for wanting revenge and offered her own example of what revenge had gotten her, but it was never really established that Alex had been out for revenge against MAYHEM and that it had had a devastating effect on her.
-The alien told Nick that “years ago,” Benedict’s Brigade had all but wiped out its home planet, but the Brigade members are refurbished Riders of the Storm, fought by the Scanrangers in episode 5. How long ago was that?
-Nick told Alex, “whatever you do, when you go to sleep tonight, I need for you to meet me at these coordinates..” How was she supposed to meet him somewhere after going to sleep? (Personal Rant: He just appeared in her office for the meeting anyway, making the “coordinates” thing unnecessary)
-When Nick created a hologram of a Macross mecha, Alex asked how he had done it, but it hadn’t seemed like anything he couldn’t have done before getting his powers boosted.
-How long had Alex had the plans for Blockbuster before deciding to build it?
-Nick whipped up a Moe Howard simulacrum and bopped B.C. on the head, except B.C. is the one with the comedy shtick.
-B.C. woke up after Nick disappeared from his room, but he had woken up when Nick first appeared.
-B.C. chalked up his stress to issues with school, although it had been implied earlier that Nick being nearly dead was the cause.
-The next episode teaser asked how the Scanrangers could defeat ChaosDemolisher without their destroyed mecha, but Alex had revealed the existence of BlockBuster’s plans well before then. (Personal Rant: The teaser also asked about Nick’s secret weapon, and unless it was talking about BlockBuster [which would be silly too], we never found out what it was)
Personal Rants: When B.C. demanded that Nick’s projection prove his identity, Nick told him not to change the subject. That’s a strange way of talking to someone who’s suspicious of your sincerity and has regularly encountered beings with powers beyond human ken who want him dead.

Episode 22-Power Upgrade, part 4: Payback! The Spectacular BlockBuster Debut!
Summary: With a new mecha, BlockBuster, Scanranger squashes the Brigade like a bug.
Monster: ChaosDemolisher again
URL: http://www.geocities.com/tetsuokurata/epi22.html
Mistakes, Mysteries, and Weird Stuff
-According to the last episode recap, Benedict’s Brigade defeated the MAYHEM leaders with the help of ChaosDemolisher, which hadn’t played a part at all. Also according to the recap, Nick had told his teammates about plans for a counterattack and given them extra power, but that didn’t happen until partway through this story.
-Alex didn’t tell the Scanrangers that Thunder Dolby was being rebuilt. What good reason would she have for keeping that a secret from her battle team?
-The Brigade had found the location Cape Paramount Base in this episode, although Benedict had said he found where it was already at the end of the previous episode.
-Nick revealed he was alive to the other rangers and boosted their film powers in this episode, making it a mystery why he told B.C. to keep his survival a secret and waited to give his other friends stronger powers.
-Nick told Vin that the crew had detected ChaosDemolisher approaching, but everyone seemed surprised that it was coming in the next scene.
-When they sensed Demolisher was coming, Alex screamed they weren’t ready. Unless she thought the Brigade could somehow see inside their secret base, this made no sense (and if they could, wouldn’t they be able to tell they were approaching a decoy base?). Their decoy base plan went off perfectly, the new mecha was ready instantly when needed, and the Scanrangers were on hand to battle the Brigade the second the villains realized they’d been had.
-YellowScanner created an energy blast attack based on the Kaiou-ken technique from Dragonball Z, which actually multiplies the strength of the user (Personal Rant: That, however, would be a bigger cop-out than the power that lets them “pause” monsters, so I’m glad it wasn’t done like that).
-When forming the new combination, Nick instructed Vin how to initiate the combination sequence, then said, “You know what to do from there!” It’s strange he’d know “what to do from there,” but need instructions to reach that point. It was also said they only had one shot to form BlockBuster, but why was unclear.
-BlockBuster transported itself and ChaosDemolisher to another dimension to avoid catching civilians in the crossfire, but they’d spent an alarmingly long time beating on it with the separate Box Office Smashers if that was a danger.
-Alex told Vin in very precise instructions how to activate one of BlockBuster’s weapons, as if he didn’t know which control activated which weapon yet, but he knew it activated the BlockBuster Barrage.
-Nick, not as GreenScanner, was somehow able to breathe and talk on the moon.
Part 2
URL: http://www.geocities.com/tetsuokurata/epi22b.html
-Key asked Benedict if he’d forgotten that the MAYHEM officers had stolen film energy too, but there was nothing to indicate he knew that to begin with.
-It didn’t make any sense to wait for Nick to be released from the hospital to begin looking for Takeshi.
Personal Rants: This episode was a big anticlimax. Sure Braking and Mad Guirail lost to the heroes’ new mecha, but at least they got to put up a fight instead of just getting the juices kicked out of them six ways from Sunday. ChaosDemolisher got to hit back twice, its flame attack doing nothing, its claws breaking. Then they continue to crush the Brigade like bugs with Nick’s powers and the new Thunder Dolby. Really, what kind of climax is that? And about Thunder Dolby, I thought we were supposed to be all distraught that it got destroyed (“They all bowed their heads, consoling each other, and paying their respects to the fallen robot.”). I suddenly feel cheated that it’s back and better than ever after one measly episode of being destroyed.
-When Nick was mopping up the last of the Brigade, the narration said he wasn’t breaking his code of ethics not to take life because they were only robots. A strange thing to point out, because no Scanranger had ever killed anything that wasn’t a cyborg or robot or whatever. This code of ethics stuff also calls attention to the fact that he’s kicking them while they’re down, which isn’t generally considered heroic.
-I liked how when they were being shown their new robots, B.C. asked who the fifth one was for. Did he forget already that there’s normally another guy on their team? I know he’s the comic relief, but come on…

Episode 23-Man in the Wilderness…Takeshi Hayata-M.I.A. (Just “Takeshi Hayata-M.I.A.” on the main page)
Summary: The Scanrangers start looking for their missing teammate, and find him just as MAYHEM does.
Monster: KuroGrizzly
URL: http://www.geocities.com/tetsuokurata/epi23.html
Mistakes, Mysteries, and Weird Stuff
-Takeshi was still in the wreckage of WideScreener when the episode began, but search parties had found WideScreener’s wreckage but no sign of Takeshi in “Benedict Triumphant.”
-Takeshi hadn’t had food or water for over three weeks. He should’ve died.
-The narration said Takeshi was unaware his arm was injured, “probably during the battle,” but he immediately groaned, “My arm..,” indicating he was aware.
-Vin didn’t seem to know that while searching for Takeshi they were also supposed to look for salvage from his spaceship, while Nick did. Why would the leader not know all their objectives?
-Vin found Takeshi’s belt strap on a hillside, but later the mountain man’s son somehow had it and used it to hit KuroGrizzly.
Personal Rants: At one point Vin sees paw prints on the ground, but the story doesn’t go into why that should be strange when he’s searching the wilderness. They’re ostensibly from the CyberCreature, but a little something more would’ve nice. For instance, “Hey Nick! I see MAYHEM’s symbol in these animal footprints! They must be around here somewhere!”
-The teaser for this episode had said that Takeshi lost his will to fight, yet he was about to take on Key, Ug and a monster with an arm in a sling, no Eigachanger, and while recovering from weeks of malnourishment when Vin and Nick stopped him.

No, as a matter of fact, there has never been one single time where I've been mellow.
