I think I'm gonna follow Food's lead. I got two movies I'm thinking about reviewing, but I doubt I'll have enough time to do both. (Have a double-review in the back of my mind, but that's for a later date.) So, I'll name the choices, and... let's see.... count the first three votes. Two out of three wins it. Hey, it's election time!
The nominees are:
Timerider: The Adventure of Lyle Swann (Fred Ward and Peter Coyote)
Perfect Stranger (Halle Berry and Bruce Willis)
May write one and save the other for another day. Anyway, once the decision's in, the review should follow in about a week or two (gonna need to get Netflix to send the DVD). Don't forget to vote! |

I'm not familiar with either of these movies, but just from the titles, I'd have to go with Timerider also. It just sounds too cheezy to pass up.
Oh, wait a minute. I think Perfect Stranger is that corporate "thriller" thing they've been advertising on tv here recently. The one that I thought looked so horribly clichéd and cookie-cutter written. The one whose major selling point seems to be the promise of a good dose of Halle Berry's prime assets (which it no-doubt fails to deliver on). Hmmm, tempting.
Naw, gotta go with cheezy over clichéd. Do Timerider. |

Timerider it is! Think I'll save Perfect Stranger for another day. By the way, Altair, you were right; Perfect Stranger not only failed to deliver on that, uh, promise, it didn't even try. But I digress.
DVD's in, so it's time to get crackin'. Work's gonna get insane next week, so I'm gonna try and get this one out by Monday. |
