Another Apocalypse Now here (45Q). I would never have pictured it for myself. Going by the other possible answers, I would consider myself as more of an Easy Rider, or perhaps Platoon, 'cause I mostly just want to avoid trouble and live the easy life.
The big problem seems to be the limited choice in outcomes. It really needs more than 9 possible answers. |

I'm questioning the validity of this quiz. Where's my option to be HOWARD THE DUCK?
I experimented by answering every question on the 45 quiz using only the middle, most neutral answer and came out as RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. You get the same result if you select all Very Accurate. But if you select all Very Inaccurate then you're SCHINDLER'S LIST.

Another Easy Rider here. I believe it.
I was once leading a convoy of construction equipment to the northern area of Baghdad and one of my humvees further back reported seeing tracers being fired off to our right.
I'm told I sounded almost bored as I asked over the radio, "They hitting anything?"
They answered back "Not that we can tell" [it was probably "celebratory" gun fire] to which I said, "Well, let's just keep going then."
We were going to be out all night as it was just building that police roadblock checkpoint, I saw no reason to delay.
Later on in Sadr City I believe I was actually channeling the spirit of Tommy Chong. My convoy got split in the dark and the last three vehicles didn't see me take a right turn. The last humvee was my platoon sergeant, a high school science teacher when not at war in Iraq. I happened to see him and the vehicles with him continue on down the road toward the heart of Sadr City. He quickly came on the radio and said, "Sir, sir, I think we lost you. I can't see the rest of the convoy."
I could hear the panic in his voice (hey, we were all kind of nervous about doing a job in Sadr City) and I wanted to calm him down and keep that panic off of our radio net. Every vehicle in the convoy could hear him.
I didn't even use proper military call signs. "Hey man, don't worry about a thing. I saw right where you went. You missed the turn is all. Get your vehicles turned around and I'll be there in a minute to bring you back."
If you can imagine what Tommy Chong would sound like saying that, you're pretty close to what I sounded like.
Strange though, I never really cared for Easy Rider. I'm supposed to be sympathetic to a couple guys going down to Mardi Gras in order to sell cocaine? Why would I be sympathetic to people like that? Because they're really cool merchants of toxic death? |
