There's a new release of RotLD coming on Sept 11, according to Amazon. The entry is a little light on what's included, but I hope beyong hope that they restore the original soundtrack.
I used to play my VHS copy of that to death, and the re-dubbed/re-scored soundtrack on the first DVD release was a major disappointment (though the special features were pretty nice).

It's been a while since I've watched it, but I recall that they redubbed a number of the zombies and changed the songs here and there. I know, I know, I complain over nothing, but it's like changing a favorite song. "But the solo is better this time!" "Yeah, but it isn't the same song anymore!"

Interesting. It had been so long since I had seen it prior to the DVD release I never even noticed. The song changes were probably due to licensing fees...
