| Lest we forget, a couple of guys tried to carjack Gene Hackman a few years back. The 71-year-old Hackman kicked their ass so hard THEY ran from HIM a moment later. |

I looked it up, and I was off a bit. It wasn't a car-jacking. In October 2001, Hackman accidentally rear-ended a car ahead of him. He was ready to admit blame and pay damages, but the two guys in the car picked a fight. Long story short: Hackman made monkeys out of 'em.
Remind me to be polite and friendly to Gene Hackman if I ever meet him. |

Funny you should mention that, Zombie. I was checking that road-rage story, and I found out that Hackman told Larry King back in 2004 that he didn't expect to do any more acting in the future, and that he believes his career is pretty much over. He does voice work for Lowe's, but other than that, he seems to be retired.
How did this turn into the Gene Hackman thread? *g* |
