EIJI TUSBURAYA. Master of Monsters.
2007, by August Ragone.
With some help from other Kaiju lovein' writers.
The man, the legend, the king of kaiju. That was Eiji Tsuburaya.
Must reccommend the book, for those few here who may not have heard of it.
Quite the life. Pilot, movie producer, and the guy who gave us Godzilla, Ultraman, and lots of other outragious Japanese goodies.
Full of great behind the secnes pictures, its always fun to see Eiji in hat, suit, and glasses, telling Godzilla what to do.
My favorite story...
The octopus wrangler!
I knew it! The octo in KING KONG Vs. GODZILLA was real!
There were four 'stunt' octopi...three were realeased to the wild...the forth was cooked and eaten.
Bet it was the best actor of the bunch...well, thats show biz....

Kind of like what probably happened to the best actor in Tentacles... *sniff*
But yeah, except for the scene of the guy in the Kong suit wrestling an obvious plastic bag with tentacles attached, it's totally a real octopus slithering around.
Which naturally makes the crappy suit look even worse.
