That was an interesting link,R.Dittmar.
It interests me when Hollywood tells us about 'Dark Times' and how bad America is.
Right now, this day for me as an American,I'm happy.I live in a great nation.I have fun hobbies, fine friends, and a family and beautiful girlfriend that love me.
No.Life isn't perfect.But it is good.
Maybe that is why I love John Wayne movies so much. His movies speak to me of good people, and better days made by hard work and rightous actions.
I wonder what would happen if Hollywood just told stories, without an agenda?Or,to be truthful, told stories based on MY agenda?
This final mission will decide the fate of the human race. This is Operation:Final War |

I've pretty well given up on the Oscar's finding the presentations overlong and bloated. However, being Canadian my ears kind of perked up because of this year's Canadian content.
* Sarah Polley, 29, nominated for best adaption for Away from Her for which Julie Christie also picked-up a best actress nomination. (I think this is Polley's directorial debut.) * Best Picture nomination for the movie Juno. * Best Director nomination for Jason Reitman, 30, (son of Ivan) for the movie Juno. * Ellen Page, 20, nominated for Best Actress for her role in Juno. * Plus, a couple of nominations in the animated shorts category.
All-in-all not a bad haul. Whether they actually win is another thing altogether. |
