He is moving more and more towards other art forms. The Onion A.V. Club's The Hater put it best:

I read or heard some critic calling Will.i.am a "modern genius." That critic should be thankful I can't remember his or her name right now. What an effin' moron! (That's for both the critic and Sam I— uh, Will.i.am.)

Whoa --- WHOA -- I'm glad they never developed "SmellaVision" -- I'd have to throw open my windows in these Sub-Zero temps to get the stink out of here!

Many of these rap stars seem obsessed with winning various industry "awards" -- perhaps they need some sort of official confirmation to "prove" that they are artists and not just highly paid garbage dealers.

It just came to me. I realized who Will.i.am reminded me of. Nick the lounge singer (Bill Murray) from Saturday Night Live.

Except, of course, that Nick was supposed to be funny.
