I want to see this movie:
Being a good bleeding-heart Liberal, Schreiber couldn’t help but be touched by the man’s plight. He decided to give Mohmed a crucial, potentially life-changing break by flying him to Prague so he could have firsthand filmmaking experience working as an intern on Schreiber’s directorial debut, Everything Is Illuminated. It was supposed to be a win-win proposition. Mohmed would get the opportunity of a lifetime, Everything Is Illuminated would get a hard-working, incredibly grateful crewmember and perhaps some glowing publicity in the bargain. There was only one problem: Mohmed is an insufferable prick. Instead of oozing gratitude and appreciation, Mohmed showed up with an attitude, a chip on his shoulder and an American-style sense of entitlement.

From the descriptions I have read, this movie has something for everybody. For me, I just love it when Hollywood types get exposed as people living in a bubble. In this case, the bubble goes: POP!
On the other hand, from the descriptions of his behavior he might actually fit in with the Hollywood crowd better than we know.

| I do feel bad for Schreiber and The Rock. Schreiber doesn't struck me as a particularly sympathetic guy, but here he seems to have been conned too. I can't blame him for trying to do a good deed. |

Nemo, you really do seem to an unhealthy hatred for "Hollywood types", especially if you think this story reflects some sort of living in a bubble mentality. I'm not really seeing the whole "look at those stupid Hollywood liberals" from this story. Could have just as easily been some poor inner-city wannabe filmmaker who turned out to be an ungrateful dick.

The plot almost sounds like we have a real life Borat.
The real reason I want to see this is because it hits an angle that I've wanted to see for a while now.
Namely, how do you know those sob stories on television and movies are real? How do you know if the subject isn't just lying through his teeth and just playing on your sympathy.
And does that matter to people who would promote such a person?
It would be a fresh take on documentaries since documentary movies seem to be the current big thing right now.

I'd prefer a Extreme Makeover: Home Edition follow-up where the explain how these families ravaged by poverty, disease, disability, and what not manage to maintain the upkeep on their new million dollar homes.

Or how they pay the new property taxs. Sadly, good intentions do not always have good resaults.
