Dunno. Truth is my bookmark points directly to this message board. I like to read Ken's updates, but I can spend months without checking out Jabootu.net.

BTW, are there any good new Spanish horror movies we should be on the lookout for here in the States?

If you can, watch "Celda 211". It's not a horror movie, but a thriller about a social worker who is injured in his first day of work in a prison. When he wakes up he founds out the prisoners have rioted and he tries to pass himself as a new intern.

And there's another Spanish movie I've enjoyed inmensely lately, but it's a very peculiar one:

It's a dark comedy about a comicbook writer who is also sort of a con man and it's constantly designing schemes to get rid of his debtors and "alternate" families. Funny thing is, it's based on the real life exploits of Manuel Vázquez, a real artist, I read some of his work when I was a kid. The film brought me lots of memories from that period. A lot of the scenes take place at his publishing house, and virtually all the comics I read back then were made by those people.

Oh, tomorrow "Buried" opens at the local theatres. It's an English speaking film starring Ryan Reynolds, but the director is an Spaniard and all I heard are good reviews.

Just came back from watching Buried, and I think all of you should add it to your list. It's a terrific film, packed with nail-bitting suspense. It's about a young man who wakes up inside a wooden crate, surrounded by a few items including a cell phone. During the rest of the movie we learn how he ended up there and, more importantly, if there's any way out. And before you ask, yes, the whole film takes place inside the crate. That must have been cheap to produce.
