| Forgot to mention that I recently saw "Layer Cake" (see mini-review at the BadMovies' Message Board) and I was very impressed by Daniel Craig, the actor who is scheduled to play James Bond in the upcoming "Casino Royale". If the producers really want an stripped-down, hard edge Bond, as they keep saying, he is the perfect choice. |

The only thing I can remember seeing Daniel Craig in was the first "Tomb Raider" movie. This didn't inspire my confidence in his choice.
However, we'll wait and see.

I thought he was good in Layer Cake too. I liked the movie, but I expected it to be more of a Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels style gangster caper and was suprised that it had a more serious tone.
He's also pretty good as Paul Newman's whiney son in Road to Perdition. |

Yes, he was alright in "Road to Perdition". Newman (of course!) acted everyone else off the screen, but Craig was okay...

I haven't seen any Craig movie, but the most of the
pictures I've seen of him make him look like Vladimir
Putin.
Aside from the irony of that (wot with Bond being the
traditional enemy of Russia via his Cold War origins),
and factoring out his blondeness, his fact looks far
too round. Bond's face should be somewhat angular
and even craggy. Not round.
If they go with a straight adaptation of CASINO
ROYALE, it will be good.
