The RotK moment that gets me is Theoden's speech and charge at the battle of the Pelennor fields.
I'll see that and raise you Gandalf's speech to Pippin "White shores and beyond...a far green country under a swift sunrise"
That's another great moment. There are so many of them in that movie, it's extraordinary that they were able to intertwine the pathos with the heroic warrior epic so effectively. |

SPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERS Agreed. I had to look the name up on the IMDB, but does anyone besides me remember Kasia Orzazewski as Mrs. Schmidt, the murdered girl's soft spoken, working class, German immigrant mother, in DEADLINE U.S.A.? Remember the scene where she brings Humphrey Bogart, who is playing a newspaper editor, her daughter's diary? "And when my Bessie died, you did not write bad things about her?" She's on screen for about five minutes and you never saw such a performance. |

Predator.
"Mac, He was a good soldier."
"He was...My friend."
So simple, yet effective.

I teared up at that Doctor Who episode where Rose's father had to let himself get run over by a car to save the space/time continuum.

@Pip:
Oh, yeah. Gladiator. That got to me, too. "You're home."

And now since we're totally spilling our guts here, let me add one more. I was reluctant to mention this one... my he-man creds and all that (cough cough)... but here goes:
The last half hour of Snoopy, Come Home. There! I said it. Anyone who doesn't get even a little moist in the eyes watching this movie does not have a heart. |

I cried at the end of the Star Trek:TNG episode "The Inner Light." Of course the plot made no sense whatsoever if you looked at it closely but it did push the right emotional buttons.

| For me the most recent example was "United 93". I had a lump in my throat before the plane even took off. When the second plane hits the WTC, even though you know it's coming, it's still brutal. The reaction in the military control center seems so pitch perfect, it gets me every time. Essentially, I was close to tears for virtually the entire movie. |

Actual crying...
Crash: "Don't worry Daddy, I'll protect you." Gojira: Everything from the line "Be happy together," to the end. (Even to this day.)
Tear-ups...
Beauty and the Beast: The last petal falls. (Only Disney movie to get to me.) Braveheart: The ending. Gladiator: "You're home." The Crow: The last scenes in the graveyard. (noticing a pattern here...) Brokeback Mountain: "Jack, I swear..." Godzilla vs. Destroyah: The final scene. The Sixth Sense: The ending.

Jeez, I forgot all about Watership Down. I'll go you one better. Anyone else see The Plague Dogs? The ending, when the gospel song comes up and you realize that, yes, this is the end. Wipes me out every time. I've never seen the full version, and I've heard the final whispered line blows the American version away (and that's saying a LOT, considering how good the short version is).
The ending of The Straight Story. No words said, and none are needed. Just Richard Farnsworth trying to hold it all in, and we fade out.
I was never a fan of the TV show Crossing Jordan, but there was an episode where a bomb had gone off, killing dozens of people in a building. There was a long segment of the episode showing the rescue workers recovering the bodies as part of Gorecki's Symphony No. 3 played. I had to sit down for that.
And here's one from left field. In early '03, I was relaxing around 7 am, having a cup of coffee, watching VH-1. The video for Johnny Cash's "Hurt" came on. It took me several minutes to compose myself and get up after I saw that.
David Banner's final line in the pilot for "The Incredible Hulk" never fails to choke me up.
I shed a tear at the end of Of Mice and Men (the John Malkovich-Gary Sinise version). My mom had forgotten the book. At the end, she screamed and collapsed sobbing.
Bernie losing Rosie in Cocoon.
The ending of The Passion of Joan of Arc qualifies as a full meltdown for me. |

I'll add a vote to the Star Trek II crowd. Others:
"...I am alone," last scene from Batman: Mask of the Phantasm.
"Do you mind if I take just one last look?" said the second time, from the Gaynor-March A Star Is Born. That one gets me so much I could barely type that.
Oops, gotta go cil a bar now |

UNITED 93, like SCHINDLER'S LIST, is beyond tears. |

Zomebiewhacker, you're not alone. I haven't actually cried watching a movie since I was a kid when I cried my little eyes out in Snoopy Come Home. I'm almost recluctant to watch it again as an adult. I also seem to recall seeing the end of The Great Gatsby as a nipper when my parents were watching it and crying when Robert Redford got shot, telling my parents at the time 'I liked that man.'
