^Yup! The Equalizer's theme sounds like a tweak of The Police's "The Other Way of Stopping."

What about The Equalizer? Not only was a great show, thanks to its somber tone and Alfred Woodward's acting, but it also had a killer theme by Stewart Copeland from The Police.
I think you might be confusing Alfre Woodard (black female American) with Edward Woodward (white male Brit). :)
I like MST3K's theme. It's catchy, but I mainly like it because during Robot Roll Call my wife always yells out "croooOOOOOW" with a big smile on her face. It always makes me laugh.

Yes, you're right about my confusion. I stand corrected.

Do my eyes mistake me or has no one listed The Addams Family?
Gilligan's Island might be the most iconic theme song of them all. I also really liked the Jack of All Trades theme song too. The art of the jingle-type of sitcom theme seems to be a dying art.
Funny story. During my short stint as a casino cashier there was a brief period of time when I was tormented by the Munsters theme. They installed these then new Munsters slot machines that played a little bit of the show' theme song whenever the reels were spun. Being that I worked the graveyard shift at the time and there were many nights when the place was practically empty and those Munster slots came with stereo speakers, all it took was one person to play it and it would be like Chinese water torture, a little bit of that music a piece at a time starting and stopping for hours on end.
