| I cant tell you just how great a show Celebrity Rehab is. Its a true guilty pleasure. Media anointed psychiatrist Drew Pinsky (there has to be other, better, psychiatrists in Los Angeles but the media loves Drew) takes in a group of completely screwed up celebrities and they screw up. Added to the fun this year is the presence of actor Gary Busey, a former drunk who has been clean for 13 years. What Busey's role is here is unclear both to drew, to the "patients", and to himself, as he is far crazier than any of them. This show is bizarre and irresistible. Pure Jabootu fodder. |

Actually, I think Celebrity Rehab may be the only celebreality show on that's any good. Pinsky seems to at least know what he's doing, and it's creepy seeing what's happened to Jeff Conaway.
Of course, it has its downside and its guilty pleasure side. Notice that all of the women — staff and patients — are pretty hot. The least attractive one (in my opinion), Nikki, is still kinda dirty-sexy. The stern blonde staffer with the tattoo on her neck is, hmmmmmm, (sigh). Amber is a knock-out. And never mind that's she's a 47-year-old woman in rehab, if Tawny Kitaen showed up at my doorstep with a hungry look in her eyes and gave me a flying tackle, I'd be in heaven.
And yes, Busey is clearly delusional.
Say, Ross, thanks for bringing this up. I saw a clunker last night that I just HAD to start writin' up; I was gonna make a mention of Celebrity Rehab to set up a joke, and now you've saved about a half a page. *grin* |
