My votes: Mork and Mindy. The best character was Exidor. Then there were the cartoons: Gilligan's Planet. I'm not kidding! The Fonz Show. Scooby Doo would have dismissed his dog, "Mister Cool", as too silly!

RED DWARF! Yeah, that works. Rimmer,Lister,Kryten,Cat,Holly...man,I'd have loved a cross over with them and the Trek/Next gern gang. Welll...there was that eph. when Rimmer wanted to join a hologram crew that was a parody of Trek...he he he he...

Can I throw Small Wonder and Out of this World (That one where the girl could freeze people in time).
Or are some memories just too painful?

Risking Jabootu's eternal damnation, I'd say Cthulhu would win, it's got more tentacles than Jabootu. |

Ah, but Jabootu has the power to turn Cthulhu into a man in a cheap, rubber monster suite.

Ok, I got one. Anyone remember Baywatch Nights? It was a spinoff of Baywatch with the same David Hasselhoff character acting as a poor man's Fox Mulder. Poor guy, what with being a lifeguard all day and chasing vampires and defrosted vikings at night he must not have gotten much sleep.

| That was a sci-fi / horror show? Then I though it was just your everyday cop show and let it slip. |

The first season of Star Trek: The Next Generation was as bad as any of the prime time sci-fi offerings cited here.
They got their act together eventually, but still... |

Season 2 was pretty piss poor as well but they had a writers' strike to blame that on.

Evidently it started out as a cop show in its first season then when it didn't get good ratings they decided to make it a sci-fi show in its second season. I can't imagine what the hell they were thinking. It's like transforming Charlie's Angels into a sci-fi show.

Sci-Fi has never made anything mehworthey. Either their shows are spectacular flops, (Riverworld, Flash Gordon, 5th season of Sliders etc), or really good programs,(Farscape, Dune, Children of Dune).
It's Coacoa Puffs, Bob. I have no idea why, but it fits the equation. |
